Applications are invited for post-doctoral fellow position in the Department of Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas.

The candidate should have a PhD in any field of life sciences such as physiology, biochemistry, cell biology, pharmacology or other from an accredited university or Institute with a minimum of 2-5 publications in well regarded peer review journals.

The ideal candidate must have significant experience in molecular biology skills including quantitative Real-time PCR, cloning, primary cell isolation, mutagenesis, vector construction and overexpression and other related techniques. Experience with transgenic mice models or any area of cardiovascular pathophysiology is a plus. Candidates with experience in cardiovascular molecular biology are encouraged to apply. The post-doctoral fellow is expected to work without supervision, analyze data, maintain accurate experimental record, and write manuscripts for publication.

The position is NIH grant funded and requires timely completion of the research outlined in the NIH proposal. Salary will commensurate with experience and skill of the candidate. Full benefit will be provided including health care and retirement as per guidelines of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock.

Lubbock is the major city in west Texas and is the home of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Texas Tech University system.
