Description of Work | The Decision Neuroscience Laboratory of the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior (CB3) is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Network Neuroscience beginning Fall 2024. The goal of this fellowship is to conduct state-of-the-art functional and structural MRI studies of the human connectome with an emphasis on characterizing the topology and dynamics of human intelligence. In addition, the Research Fellow will have the opportunity to lead applied research projects that examine cognitive and neurobiological phenotypes of elite military populations, for example, through projects sponsored by the DARPA TAILOR Program, the DARPA Measuring Biological Aptitude Program, and the Human Performance Wing (STRONG Lab) of the Air Force Research Laboratory. The Decision Neuroscience Laboratory provides ample opportunity for the development of innovative, focused research and a broad collaborative cognitive neuroscience experience through affiliations with the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior; the Nebraska Athletics Performance Laboratory; and the Department of Psychology. The Decision Neuroscience Laboratory has received support from the National Institutes of Health BRAIN Initiative, the National Institute of Aging, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense (DARPA), the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (IARPA), and private industry. This research fellowship is designed as a three-year experience that includes a speaker series, journal article discussions, laboratory presentations and discussions, tutorial training, and the teaching of skills necessary to conduct original cognitive neuroscience research. Ph.D.s with a strong background in network neuroscience, computer science, engineering, and statistics are encouraged to apply. Duties include:
