Position Summary | The postdoctoral scientist will be working on a NSF project led by Eric Maloney at CSU entitled “East Pacific easterly waves: Interactions with wind jets in current and future climates.” The overarching goal of the project is to understand the formation mechanisms of east Pacific easterly waves (EWs), and how these will be affected by climate change. Observations and a regional model (WRF) will be used to understand the role of topographic wind jets, the SST pattern, intraseasonal variability, and their changes with climate change on east Pacific EWs.
