Position: Will to Skill Manager
Department: Workforce Development
Reports to: Director of Workforce Development

Position Summary
The Manager will serve as coordinator of the Will to Skill Expansion training program of Venture Global LNG as well as facilitate workforce development projects through Nunez Community College.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Discover and research the industry sectors in the designated area considered for training investment 5%
  • Analyze the relevancy of training, skills, and industry-based certifications required for initial employment and subsequent promotions with companies in the designated areas 5%
  • Secure subject matter experts with qualified credentials to teach various trainings 10%
  • Become familiar with local public and private facilities in the area to host trainings and assist with coordination of logistics and schedules 5%
  • Assist with vetting process of potential participants in the Will to Skill Training cohorts 10%
  • Maintenance and ensuring recordation of earned credentials filed immediately upon completion of each training 10%
  • Make sure expenses are managed and maintained within the allotted budget for that particular cohort training 10%
  • Familiarity with various trades/craft skills industry-based credentials, such as NCCER, OSHA-10, CDL, etc. 5%
  • Flexibility and availability to attend meetings and events during day and evening for networking opportunities 5%
  • Flexibility and availability to travel statewide for meetings, professional development training, Will to Skill setup, etc. Up to 75% of travel will be involved 15%
  • Assist Workforce Development with initiatives and orientations on and off campus. 5% Become familiar with LCTCS Banner system for data entry 5%
  • Other duties as assigned 5%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • 3 Years work experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Trades Field or Industrial Maintenance/Operator Field
  • Familiar with NCCER curriculum and other safety curriculum
  • Organizational skills
  • Accounting and budgeting skills
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Construction Trades Field or Industrial Maintenance/Operator Field
  • Possess required certifications such as NCCER, Safety certs, etc. and willing to pursue future certifications as needed
  • 3-5 years work experience in related field
  • Organizational skills
  • Accounting and budgeting skills
  • Computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Bending, carrying, Driving, Push/Pull, Climbing, Crawling, Reaching, sitting, squatting, Standing, Twisting, and Working above shoulder.
