Salary follows approved salary structure for C43; commensurate with education and/or experience; excellent benefits. This is a grant position and is dependent on continued grant funding.

• Works with Director, Counseling & Testing to develop, implement, and sustain college-wide student transfer initiatives and programming of the College;

 

• Provides input for the allocation of resources for transfer services;

• Assesses the effectiveness of the programs and services including identifying program goals, methods of assessment, criteria of success, collection of data, and use of data for continuous improvement;

• Identifies equity issues that are obstacles to transfer and works with supervisor to develop plans to address the obstacles such as limited slots, high demand fields, resource constraints, etc.;

• Works with supervisor to develop innovative partnerships with universities to aid ease of transfer;

• Develops and facilitates training, workshops, seminars and presentations; career exploration within the context of transfer planning;

• Analyze data to identify transfer maps (guided pathways) to transfer universities. Develop and maintain transfer maps (guided pathways) online. Assess effectiveness of transfer maps and enacts improvements;

• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with faculty, staff, community resources, universities, vendors, and non-profit agencies;

• Works with supervisor to develop and sustain marketing strategies for department services, activities, projects, programs, and events, including flyers, brochures, and other publications, social media, and internet marketing in collaboration with BC Marketing department;

• Determines departmental needs, develops and recommends budget. Ensures proper accounting of funds;

• Supports the College’s student success efforts; and

• Performs other duties of a similar nature of level as assigned.

 

Able to traverse campus, reading, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, vision, talking, hearing, and ability to drive to off campus locations.

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Education, Counseling or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university;

 

• At least 2 to 3 years of demonstrated leadership of student transfer programming (Community college experience preferred);

• At least 1 year of demonstrated responsibility for providing leadership and coordination for development and implementation of transfer programing for college age populations;

• Required knowledge of college student engagement theory (student transfer and best practices preferred);

• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;

• Ability to work in a team environment;

• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution; and

• Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration.
