Minimum Education/Training/Experience
Associates Degree in allied health related field; 2 years teaching experience, preferably at the community college level or with high school allied health programs; strong communication and organizational skills; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience
Bachelors degree or higher at least 2 years’ supervisory experience, 3 years’ experience in developing and/or implementing allied health workforce training or administrative higher education experience

Job Duties
1. Recruits, employs, trains, supervises CE adjunct faculty for CE AH workforce programs and the AHA TC.
2. Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of CE AH programs
3. Secures clinical sites for CE AH workforce programs and maintains affiliation agreements
4. Ensures clinical readiness and current orientation compliance for CE AH workforce program students
5. Coordinates and supervises all program goals, objectives and activities
6. Determines program class schedules for each quarter to optimize student completion
7. Participates in the preparation and administration of the program budgets
8. Remains current on regulatory issues for CE AH programs and advises the College as to changes/revisions necessary to ensure College compliance with regulatory rules, regulations, and issues
9. Determines adjunct faculty credentials respective to teaching assignments and external regulatory entities
10. Evaluates instructor performance with in-class observations, providing recommendations for improvement.
11. Arranges for student services and career counseling as appropriate to assist CE AH students in program completion and job placement
12. Participates in student recruitment activities
13. Builds partnerships with local business, industry, and school districts to increase contract training opportunities
14. Collaborates with the Associate Dean of CE to manages contract training for AH programs and AHA courses
15. Coordinates all CPR training for the COM CPR Training Center including setting up equipment and courses as needed
16. Serves as the primary contact between the TC and American Heart Association (AHA) ECC programs
17. Handles the management and storage of TC records
18. Secures and distributes AHA course completion cards and exams to instructors and Training Sites
19. Manages instructor alignment on the Instructor Network
20. Appoints and manages all TC faculty
21. Ensures that TC Faculty are current with information from the AHA
22. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Physical Requirements
May work indoors in classroom, skills lab, and office. Work with students, staff, and faculty during laboratory teaching experiences.
