Job Description

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Must hold a completed undergraduate degree in the discipline or subfield from a U.S. regionally or nationally accredited university. Faculty with international credentials are required to present an official U.S. degree evaluation by NACES recognized evaluation agency.

Baccalaureate degree in Accounting, Business Management with a concentration in Finance or Accounting will be the ideal candidate for this position
Teaching experience preferred (minimum 2 years)
Proficient in Office Suite Applications, especially with advanced knowledge of Excel
Proficient in the use of accounting software applications specifically QuickBooks
Working knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to teach Accounting courses on either a part-time or full-time basis. The candidate should have the expertise to teach multiple subjects, such as Accounting, Business and Management and Economics for Business. The role of a faculty member is to effectively communicate with the students and help them achieve their educational goals. The instructor provides students with a proper educational environment that maximizes retention of students toward the completion of their programs. Essential Duties and responsibilities are listed below:

Teach all assigned classes and hours as determined by their class schedule.
Plan for instructional activities to include but not limited to lecture, class discussion, demonstration, labs, and special projects. Course outlines and syllabi should be given to students at the beginning of each course. Set objectives, determine multiple teaching strategies, assist with student extra-curricular activities and assessment of student learning.
Organize concepts to be taught in a logical understandable sequence covering all objectives as outlined in the course syllabus.
Handle classroom routines and use appropriate assessment tools.
Maintain expertise and technical competence in applicable field of study.
Attend all meetings, ceremonies and official functions as specified by the program chair or the Academic Dean.
Perform duties related to providing academic tutoring in an individualized or group setting to students enrolled in related general education coursework.
Provide appropriate documentation of student progress and interaction
Maintain frequent communication with students and provide support
Must have previous experience in evaluating student learning styles, skills, deficiencies and goals.
Be committed to integrity, quality, enthusiasm, exceptional service, and teamwork by supporting students in tutoring in discipline related coursework.
Performs any other duties, as assigned.'

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
