Position Summary:


Post-doctoral Position in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University 
We are seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellowship with tasks comprised of research activities related to a large, funded, multisite NIMH R01 treatment grant (PI: Shireen Rizvi, PhD, ABPP) and clinical activity in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Clinic at Rutgers (DBT-RU). This is a 2-year appointment, with the second year contingent on renewal. The intended start date is as early as June 1, 2022 and no later than September 1, 2022. 
The primary aim of the R01 is to evaluate the efficacy of four adaptive treatment sequences (ATS) for treating suicide ideation and suicidal behavior in 700 college students across four sites. The fellow will be involved with coordination of the clinical trial, structured assessments of participants, and DBT training and adherence tasks. Clinically, the post-doctoral fellow will provide individual DBT, skills training groups, phone coaching, and will participate in training and the DBT consultation team. The position includes opportunities for training and consultation, data management and statistical analysis, manuscript and presentation preparation, and assisting with grant preparation. Tasks will occur at Rutgers-New Brunswick (Piscataway campus) and Rutgers-Newark Counseling Center. 
Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills. Applicants who have a research background in DBT, borderline personality disorder, and/or suicide as well as clinical experience conducting suicide risk assessments, DBT, and diagnostic interviews, will be given strongest consideration.

Minimum Education and Experience:


Applicants must have a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology or related field from an APA accredited program (completed by start date of fellowship)
