Job Description Summary
The School of Business Administration at Oakland University is inviting applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate and graduate level courses in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics. The faculty member would also be expected to develop and maintain a high quality of research and service activities appropriate to the position beginning August 15, 2024. Candidates with a technical background and can teach technical MIS courses as well as courses related to business analytics and big data are especially encouraged to apply. Evidence of successful interactions with business community is also desirable. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from an accredited AACSB International or equivalent accredited institution. Applicants with ABD status will also be considered if they will complete degree requirements by August 15, 2024. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The department of Decision and Information Sciences offers a B.S. in Management Information Systems, a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), a Master of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) with a concentration in Cybersecurity Analytics & Management, and a Combined Bachelor and Master Degree (4+1 Plan).
