THE POST – Lecturer in Aeronautical Engineering
Due to an investment in our teaching portfolio within our Paisley Campus, the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences is seeking applications from individuals to join the Aeronautical/Mechanical team as a Lecturer within the School’s Division of Engineering and Physical Sciences. You will join a dedicated team who strive to continuously inspire our students and wider University community – and, through modern teaching and impactful research, continue to deliver innovative solutions to some of the world’s greatest challenges.

Applicants for the post should have the following:

• Degree and relevant PhD qualification (or equivalent qualification) in Aeronautical Engineering or a directly related engineering subject.
• Experience of developing and delivering learning and teaching across the field of Aeronautical Engineering (particularly aerodynamics) and assessing using authentic/real-world assessment approaches with Higher Education.
• A postgraduate qualification in the area of education/learning and teaching and Advance HE Fellowship.
• A membership of an appropriate professional body such as RAeS or IMechE.
• Appropriate evidence of external engagement which should be clearly in line with the School’s priority areas for the future (e.g. external engagement in terms of research, or knowledge exchange, or engagement with professional bodies or other external organisations).
• Commitment to delivering high quality teaching and supporting an outstanding student experience for students on the accredited programmes.
