Required Degree: Completed PhD in Biology, Genetics, Public Health, or other related areas.

Must have required degree by start date. 

 

Experience

Candidates should have substantial experience in human study management, clinical trial enrollment, and PhD in Biology, Genetics, Public Health, or other related areas. Fluency in Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian, and other languages of the Pacific Islands is highly desirable. Previous experience in GWAS or microarray analysis, whole genome sequence analysis, quantitative genetics, or computational biology is desirable but not essential.  Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience.

 

Duties/Expectations:

A post-doctoral researcher is sought to participate in conducting studies of the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias as well as genetics research in these areas. This position (which may be renewed up to 3 years) will be available in the Department of Biology at Brigham Young University (located in Provo, Utah). The starting date is flexible but could be as early as needed.

This position will focus enrollment and execution of human studies on diagnosis and genetics research in Alzheimer's disease and related quantitative traits.  There will be opportunities for collaborative research with statisticians and computational biologists here at BYU and with collaborators at several other institutions.
