Description

Under the direction of the Academic Human Resources Manager, the Academic HR Analyst will manage personnel and payroll for residents/fellows, staff physicians, postdoctoral scholars, and voluntary clinical faculty in the Department of Pediatrics. Major duties include, but aren’t limited to: processing initial appointment and renewals, salary and benefits administration, leave administration, fee remissions, and policy interpretation for employees, managers, and faculty. Pay Range: $28.78 – $59.34 Hourly

Qualifications

1. Required Skills, knowledge, and abilities: a. Ability to read, understand and interpret and apply policies and procedures, regulations and guidelines b. Writing skills to compose concise, logical and grammatically correct memos, letters and reports. c. Ability to perform mathematical computations using percentages, rates and ratios to prepare payroll documents and reports. d. Ability to set priorities to complete work in a timely manner with competing deadlines and heavy workload. e. Demonstrated knowledge of Graduate Division forms, policies and procedures. f. Demonstrated ability to draft contracts g. Demonstrated knowledge of ACGME and University Resident and Fellow policies and procedures h. Demonstrated knowledge of resident union contract requirements and implications. i. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and make decisions independently j. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff and administrators k. Ability to interact with faculty and staff using tact and discretion, respecting the confidentiality of personnel issues and records. l. Ability to analyze and/or assess situations, information or data and make recommendations to solve problems. m. Experience working in a healthcare human resources office, including knowledge of employment forms (I-9, etc.), confidentiality, HIPAA, compliance, and records management.
