General Summary

To provide administrative support to the Director of Dual Credit Development and Associate Dean of Academic Partnerships. Serves as a liaison between Academic Partnerships, Instructional Department Chairs, Student Services, and Dual Credit students/families. The nation’s most prestigious recognition of Community College Excellence, the Aspen Institute’s Aspen Prize, awarded Odessa College its Rising Star Award in 2017, which ranked Odessa College among the top five in the nation for improving and advancing student achievement out of 1100 eligible institutions.

Specific Position Duties

- Gather data, tabulate statistics and prepare reports; – Ensure student services contacts are entered and maintained on a central database; – Process personnel documents for staff; – Prepare requisitions, verify purchase orders and balances posted entries from budget detail; – Maintain program files (personnel, expenditure, etc.); – Reconcile general ledger account; – Interview, supervise and train student workers; – Create summary budget reports; – Plan, coordinate and prepare mail-outs; – Maintain budget files; and – Process applications for admissions to the College; Process various documents and forms related to admissions, links documents, etc.; – Receive high school and college transcripts; – Advise prospective and continuing students and parents of available payment options; – Advise prospective and continuing students and parents regarding dual credit registration, early enrollment, CTE and Core program pathways. – Ability to follow policies and procedures and quickly learn new ones, multi-task, and pay particular attention to detail; – Demonstrated success of teamwork skills; Perform other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required; Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures; and Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.

Work Hours

Typical hours Mon - Thurs 8 am - 5:30 pm and Fri 8 am - 1 pm. Summer hours Mon - Thurs 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Closed Friday
