Description

You will work independently and in cooperation with the Principal Investigator, team members, and collaborators to make significant and creative contributions to the development of our organoid data analysis pipeline. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our organoid data analysis pipeline, including but not limited to coordinating sample and data entry, maintaining a database for samples and experiments, developing tools and scripts for analyzing and visualizing drug screening data, and data transfer. You will also be responsible to prepare manuscripts for publication in scientific journals. The successful candidate should also be comfortable with bioinformatics and data science tools. In depth knowledge of R, Python, and SQL is necessary. The ability to work independently at a high pace and multi-disciplinary environment is essential for this position. Salary Range: $30.89-$49.68/hour



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

* This position is open to candidates with a degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Medicine or similar disciplines (required) * In depth experience with R, Python, and SQL (required) * Previous computational experience * Ability to exercise good organization and work habits * Ability to write legible, concise and grammatically correct documentation of work in Standard English (lab notes and protocols) * Ability to work flexible hours * Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with faculty, staff and postdoctoral fellows and students * Mentor undergraduates and graduates to accomplish any of the above tasks * Maintain a cutting-edge awareness of technical developments and scientific knowledge and apply these where possible to improve performance and data quality * Present results of work, interpret data and draw conclusions in a fully independent manner * Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing and independently write scientific/technical reports and presentations * Must think critically and work resourcefully to resolve problems * Ability to multitask and successfully interact with a diverse team of scientists to deliver quality data and results
