Position Description:
Minimum Qualifications
PhD and 0 to 3 years of related experience are required. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include a degree in Bioenergetics and/or a concentration in Biomechanics & Motor Control and 0-3 years postdoctoral experience and research related to cellular and molecular neuroscience, neuromodulation, and sensory-motor integration.
- Proficiency in Mablab is also preferred.
The primary function of this position is to conduct research and examine the efficiency of cognitive control and alteration by DBS/Parkinson's Disease and epilepsy. This position will also apply significant exposure to comprehensive cognitive metrics in context of neurological diseases.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct research activities related to epilepsy, deep brain stimulation, Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.
- Prepare manuscripts of research findings.
- Read literature and review manuscripts.
- Attend and present at meetings and seminars.
- Organization and attendance at training activities.
- Grant submission.
- Mentor research students.
