Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000 Benefits: Paid Health Benefits

Shaping Business Futures for a Vibrant Community: The Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce, an influential organization whose mission is to preserve and enhance the quality of life in Missoula through advocacy for a thriving, responsible, and diverse business landscape, is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of President/CEO.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the future of the Missoula business community by embodying and advancing the Chamber’s core values of advocacy, expertise, collaboration, leadership, connection, and innovation. As our President/CEO, you will be the guiding force behind our vision to serve as a primary catalyst for creating a cooperative and prosperous community.

Primary Responsibilities: As the President/CEO, you will provide strategic leadership, direction, and management for all aspects of Chamber activities. In collaboration with the Board of Directors, you will be instrumental in implementing strategic initiatives and policies, maintaining the Chamber and Chamber Foundation’s continuity and management, advising on policy, programs, and key initiatives, and serving as the principal advocate and spokesperson for the Chamber. You will be expected to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of public, private, and non-profit entities, fostering robust relationships and coalitions that align with the Chamber’s objectives and priorities.

Key Qualifications: We are seeking a visionary leader with a proven track record in strategic and operational planning, financial management, marketing, and policy interpretation. You should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, with a capacity to inspire volunteers, members, and staff alike.

An understanding of the local business environment and previous experience in a similar leadership role will be highly advantageous. Experience in managing both 501(c) (6) and 501(c) (3) organizations would be beneficial.
