Posting Summary	The Nielsen Fruit Entomology laboratory is seeking a Post Doctoral Associate who will be responsible for providing expertise on spotted lanternfly and codling moth. Research is expected to include studies on the phenology, behavior, and management of spotted lanternfly (SLF), a recent invasive species in NJ that is a particular threat to wine grapes, and codling moth biology and management. Studies will be conducted in both the laboratory and field. Behaviorally-based equipment including flight mills, EthoVision, as well y-tube bioassays with olfactory cues will be available for research efforts. The post doctoral associate is expected to work collaboratively with other experts at USDA, Rutgers, and private industry. Expertise in insect ecology, insect rearing, statistics, and data management is required.

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to receive an updated (bivalent) vaccine dose.
