Part time:  21 hours per week, Permanent

 

THE POST – Procurement Administrator

The Procurement team at University of the West of Scotland (UWS) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Administrator.  You will play a vital role in supporting the Procurement Team whilst the team contribute to UWS Strategy 2025 and ensure that procurement activities across UWS comply with UWS Financial Regulations and Public Procurement Regulations.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Officer, you will have responsibility for maintaining shared inboxes and carrying out a range of key activities in relation to various procurement processes.

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Relevant HNC or SVQ level 3 or equivalent, e.g., at least 2 Higher grades or equivalent. Considerable experience of working within a Public Procurement environment.

 

Essential Skills & Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of Procurement functions.
  • Good attention to detail with strong numeracy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise workload and work on own initiative.
  • Good level of IT literacy and proficient use of office applications.
