The Sisters of Loretto, a Roman Catholic congregation, are looking for an experienced non-profit manager and leader to serve as Executive Director for the Loretto Community. Our next Executive Director will help us pave the way for our community's future while guiding our staff and supporting our board through various strategic initiatives. Our Executive Director leads our staff to accomplish the work needed to support our community and guides and supports our board in setting policy and making important strategic decisions. Our Executive Director is accountable for the implementation of the board's planning and other decisions and oversees all staff-supported operations of the Loretto Community, including administrative support, finance, communications, technology, facilities, land use, museum and archives, public advocacy, and community support. About Us:
The Loretto Community includes the congregation of the Sisters of Loretto and lay Co-members who share in the spirit and mission of the Community. The Sisters of Loretto were founded on the Kentucky frontier in 1812 as Friends of Mary at the Foot of the Cross, and for more than 210 years have followed the Gospel imperative to work for justice and act for peace. The first Sisters dedicated their lives to God as religious women and to educating the economically poor children of the area. Over the decades and centuries, Congregation members worked throughout the United States, and internationally in China, South and Central America, Africa, and Pakistan. Today, a majority of the Sisters and some Co-members live on our Motherhouse campus in Nerinx, Kentucky, while other Sisters and Co-members live in various U.S. and international locations. The Congregation of the Sisters of Loretto is planning its mission legacy as the Sisters age. The Executive Director is a key player in helping to develop and implement this legacy.

This position offers a unique and challenging opportunity for an experienced Executive Director. The qualified candidate will possess:

• A Masters degree in business administration, public administration, non-profit administration, or a Juris Doctor, and 10 years of experience in an executive director or similar role, preferably at a non-profit;
• A good understanding, borne from experience, of organizational roles and processes in non-profit corporations;
• A commitment to collaborative management;
• Experience managing budgets, preferably at a non-profit;
• Project management experience;
• Job-tested professionalism, including good judgment handling complex situations, maintaining confidentiality, and exercising sound discretion;
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.

The qualified candidate will reside in or near Lexington, KY, Louisville, KY or St. Louis, MO with the ability to travel to Nerinx, KY at least twice a month.

• Base salary of $150,000-175,000 annually
• 20 days of Paid Time Off plus a generous paid holiday schedule

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
