Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer (2 posts) jointly appointed in the School of Biomedical Sciences and the School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 522859), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Education or a related discipline, preferably with at least 5 years’ experience in digital educational project management or providing e-learning solutions in tertiary education institutions.  Concrete experience in teaching and course content development is essential.  Applicants should have proven record in successfully integrating a variety of innovative techniques and technologies for teaching and learning, and have demonstrated ability in communication and collaboration with teachers to determine, design, implement and evaluate instructional strategies and solutions.  A track record of publications in educational journals would be an advantage.    

The appointees will develop e-learning solutions for specific learning objectives in collaboration with both clinical and non-clinical professoriate and teaching staff.  They are expected to take the lead to propose new and refine existing e-learning initiatives.  They shall also be tasked with developing and maintaining an effective online and interactive learning community for students.  Teaching duties shall involve the conducting of teaching sessions for undergraduates in different formats, which may include but not limited to e-learning sessions, face-to-face lectures, and tutorials. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
