Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

Directs and oversees the Darla Moore School of Business Student Alumni and Young Alumni Boards events and initiatives. Directs the student mentoring program and the alumni on-line network, MooreConnect.

Assists the Hub Network Director as the Hub Network Coordinator by helping organize and engage alumni volunteers across the country. Travels to regional Hub Network events and builds and cultivates relationships with alumni.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in an area such as alumni engagement, business development, higher education student affairs.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to effectively communicate and maintain relationships with students, alumni and faculty/ staff.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

The Assistant Alumni Engagement Director must possess the ability to:

1. build, oversee and maintain positive relationships with DMSB students, alumni and external stakeholders

2. take ownership of the Office of Alumni Engagement’s overall undergraduate student and young alumni initiatives and mentoring and MooreConnect programs

3. work effectively in a collaborative team environment

4. assist the Hub Network director by traveling and working with alumni volunteers across the country

5. be a strong communicator, have strong project management skills and the ability to work independently

6. research and come up with new student and young alumni programs

7. maintain confidentiality as required related to student, alumni and volunteer information.
