The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) (www.uamont.edu) invites applications for the position of Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. The successful candidate will provide leadership for all areas of Academic Affairs, including academic programs, academic budget development and resource allocation, faculty recruitment and retention, student retention, institutional and program assessment, library services and registrar. The Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs reports directly to the Chancellor and is the Chancellor’s senior advisor on all matters relating to academic administration. The position serves on the Executive Council.

UAM, one of thirteen campuses of the University of Arkansas System, is located in southeastern Arkansas in the beautiful timberlands, rich in outdoor recreation activities, and approximately 100 miles south of Little Rock. UAM is a comprehensive, residential and commuter, undergraduate institution also offering selected master's degree programs.

Qualifications: The successful applicant will possess the following qualifications: a minimum of five years of experience in a higher education setting; excellent written and oral communication skills; a commitment to the academic and social values appropriate to the University's mission of teaching, research, and public engagement; the capability of creating and sustaining an environment that attracts and retains faculty and staff of the highest quality and promotes superior teaching and learning strategies, scholarship and innovation. A terminal degree is required.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience including excellent fringe benefits.
