The University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology is seeking a basic/translational scientist addressing fundamental questions in the early development, screening, and detection of ovarian cancer.  Successful candidates will take an interdisciplinary approach and excel at research revealing mechanisms and therapeutic targets of early pre-malignant development of ovarian carcinoma, novel big data approaches, and the development of early detection/screening tests/algorithms of ovarian cancer.  Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Biology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field and complete their postdoctoral training.  Ongoing or ability to compete for R01 or equivalent funding is required.  Applicants for Research Instructor,  non-tenure stream, should have 4 years of experience in related scientific research, demonstrate the ability to obtain external research funding; have disseminated results through peer-reviewed publications and other scientific forums; have relevant teaching experience, and demonstrate the capacity for career development and promotion.
