Founded in 1985, Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley is a non-profit, Christian-based community organization dedicated to building, renovating, and repairing safe, decent, and affordable housing for hard-working, low-income families in the Catawba Valley community. They build houses through partnerships with diverse segments of the community–churches and temples, businesses and individuals, service clubs and foundations. Thanks to this support from the community, Habitat has built over 165 houses in Catawba County.

The Development Director is primarily responsible for securing funding for the operation of the affiliate. This position has five critical functions:

1) Raise funding for the operation of the affiliate;

2) Build new and enhance existing programs;

3) Cultivate donors;

4) Manage day-to-day operations of the Development Department;

5) Strategize with Executive Director and Finance Director to organize, plan, and execute funding for future growth.

A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management or Business Administration preferred. Five (5) to seven (7) years’ related experience in a non-profit development/fundraising role, and a minimum of 3 – 5 years of staff management experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of donor database system preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
