We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching interests in Investments and/or Financial Markets and Institutions, but all areas of Finance will be considered. Interest in Fintech would be a plus. The appointment involves teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The teaching load will be three(3) courses per semester with typical class sizes between twenty and thirty students. Prior teaching and industry experience are appreciated but not required. Funding exists for summer research, additional teaching, and travel to professional conferences.

The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of more than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students. UT reflects this vibrancy; with 24 consecutive years of enrollment growth, UT boasts 260 student organizations, a multicultural student body from 50 states and more than 100 countries, and a "Top Tier" ranking in U.S. News and World Report.

The candidate is expected to engage in scholarly research, advise students, and provide service to the department, college, university and broader community.

Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

The candidate must have a Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited program, or equivalent, in Finance or a Ph.D. in a closely related business field with published scholarly work in Finance. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach both graduate and undergraduate students, and preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Investments and/or Financial Markets and Institutions. However, all areas of Finance will be considered. Interest in Fintech would be a plus.
