Oversee and maintain Interior Design textile lab and classrooms at Salt Lake Community College Taylorsville campus.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Keep the textile lab organized and report when the inventory is low; possibly picking up new samples as we get calls
2. Keep both classrooms organized
3. Assist and tutor students in CAD, InDesign, and Photoshop classes in collaboration with the adjunct instructors who teach these classes
4. Update the bulletin board with new projects from students each semester
5. Clean the drafting tables and computer lab
6. Light secretarial duties
Current or past student of the Interior Design or Architecture program who has taken and successfully completed all the technology classes preferred
Current student of Salt Lake Community College
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic typing skills. Ability to complete light secretarial tasks
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, abilities, cultures and ethnic backgrounds to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
Work approximately 15-20 hours per week

Work Study is awarded to SLCC students through the Federal College Work Study program, which requires establishing financial need through the FAFSA application from the Financial Aid Office. If you do not have work study awarded to you, you will not be eligible for work under work study positions.
