Job Description:

An international collaboration between the University of Florida (UF, Prof. Adam S. Veige), University of Naples Federico II (UniNa, Dr. Roberta Cipullo and Dr. Christian Ehm), and the industrial consortium group DPI invite applications for a postdoctoral associate position based within the University of Florida Department of Chemistry (Gainesville, FL) to begin in September 2023.

UF, UniNa, and DPI are members of a broad and dynamic community of academic and industry scientists. DPI is an industry-driven international collaboration platform for pre-competitive research in the field of polymers https://www.polymers.eu/ . Approximately 250 researchers (PhDs and post-docs) are currently involved in DPI projects at knowledge institutes throughout the world. The Postdoctoral Associate will be involved in the synthesis and characterization of cyclic polymers using novel catalysts discovered in the Veige group https://veige.chem.ufl.edu/ at the University of Florida. The candidate will enjoy the benefit of working closely with DPI scientists and collaborators at the UniNa Laboratory of Stereoselective Polymerizations (LSP), high-throughput catalysis facility http://www.lsp.unina.it/lsp/ .

This position offers a vibrant and highly interactive academic setting along with industrial-sponsored funding, access to outstanding resources and technology platforms, strong computational support, and a friendly, collaborative, and interdisciplinary group of colleagues. The position is available for up to three years and will be located in Gainesville, FL.

Expected Salary:

The salary is $48,000 and the compensation includes a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate will have a minimum of a PhD, with experience in catalysis or polymer chemistry.
