Position Summary/Purpose of Position:

1) Support the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and the Advancement Coordinator with alumni and stewardship events and projects.
2) Support the Advancement Coordinator with a Birthday card recognition program for donors, prospects, and volunteers.
3) Support the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations with alumni research, database management, and communications.
4) Support the Advancement Coordinator with stewardship reports and activities.
5) Other responsibilities as needed.
If interested, this position will have the opportunity to design marketing and social media materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION
  • Must be enrolled in a University of Maryland, College Park undergraduate/graduate program

EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with special events
  • Experience working in a professional environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact with internal and external constituents.

Preferences:

  • Canva and digital design experience
  • Database experience

This is a 10 hours per week position.

Physical Demands

Traditional office environment. Ability to lift and transport large items for events and meetings as necessary. Available to work evenings and weekends as necessary. Some travel, usually in immediate College Park area, may be necessary.
