Position Summary | In collaboration with departments in the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center invites applications for one tenure-track/tenured appointment at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. This recruitment seeks creative scientists focusing on basic and translational research in human tumor viruses, including research that bridges disciplines. While the position is restricted to human viruses with cancer relevance, research areas may include viral pathogenesis, basic immune mechanisms underlying cancer virology, viral immunology, and vaccine research. The position features outstanding research space, a collaborative environment, and a competitive start-up package. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Ideal candidates will have postdoctoral experience and accomplishments that support their potential to establish a vigorous, visible, impactful, and extramurally funded research program in tumor virology. Applicants should hold a Ph.D., MD or MD/Ph.D. in the biomedical sciences or related field of study. |
