| Job Description: | The Moehle Lab is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to work on a recently funded grant by the Michael J Fox Foundation that seeks to understand how cortico-striatal transmission is altered in rodent models of Parkinson's Disease. This project will offer novel-insights into how aggregates of alpha-synuclein alter glutamatergic projection neurons to cause specific symptoms, both motor and non-motor. This position offers a host of career, research, and scientific development opportunities for the candidate. Job duties to include: Perform ex vivo electrophysiological experiments in rodent models of synucleinopathies Perform behavioral experiments in rodent models of synucleinopathies Perform surgical procedures. | Expected Salary: | $56,500-$61,500 |
| Minimum Requirements: | Applicant must hold a Ph.D. in molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, or related fields. The ideal candidate will have experience with ex vivo electrophysiology experiments, and if not be willing to learn. |
