ESPORTS COACH/MANAGER

DEPARTMENT: ATHLETICS DIVISION: STUDENT AFFAIRS

SALARY: $16,093.82

FLSA: EXEMPT

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

SCHEDULE DETAILS: FACULTY/PART-TIME/10 MONTH POSITION/MISSOURI PUBLIC SCHOOL RETIREMENT SYSTEM

Position Summary
The Esports Coach/Manager is responsible for the administration and development of the Esports team, including

student recruitment to the team, budget management, NJCAAE competition, practice, and promoting visibility and

sponsorships for the college.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide instruction in all aspects of the Esports, rules, regulations, techniques, and team concepts.
  • Provide specific game instruction.
  • Provide planning and execution of instruction during in/off season practices.
  • Provide game day instruction and coaching.
  • Perform recruiting activities to develop a competitive team.
  • Maintain Esports facilities. Perform pre-game and post-game facility preparation.
  • Obtain all Athletic paperwork to be in compliance with NJCAA rules and eligibility requirements.
  • Report game scores and information to the media, as needed.
  • Maintain game statistics internally.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance.
  • Supervise study hall and tutoring for Esports players.
  • Supervise and assist Esports players in fundraisers and community projects.
  • Maintain office hours and correspondence.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with faculty, staff, administrators, students,
parents, and community members.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the community college philosophy and mission.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Successful gaming experience and strong information technology skills

Information Technology Abilities

  • Ability to operate a personal computer using the Windows environment.
  • Ability to understand operating a personal computer within the Crowder College Network environment.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and telephones.
  • Ability to operate a variety of gaming platforms (PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, etc.).

Working Environment
  • Usually indoors in an office or classroom environment with minimal exposure to temperature changes, noise, dust
or chemicals.
  • A neat appearance and appropriate apparel are required.
  • Normal college working hours but adjustment of hours involving evening and/or weekend work may be required

Physical Environment

  • Position will involve mobility within the campus facilities and various sites including game locations.
