Overview of Graduate Programs Administrator

Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Graduate Programs Administrator. The Graduate Programs Coordinator manages the operational functions for all graduate/post-bacc programs (MBA, EMBA, and MAcc) within the College of Business at Purdue Northwest. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Graduate Programs, but functions in an independent role. This hands-on position provides consultation for all students from recruitment, admissions assistance, advising, to graduation, providing a single point of contact for students to succeed.


 

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday (40 Hours)

Duties and Responsibilities of Graduate Programs Administrator

  • Manage operational functions for all graduate/post-bacc programs
  • Execute marketing messaging, website content, and recruitment events for the graduate programs
  • Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Internal Operations to create the master course schedule
  • Maintain student plans of study and advise students on progress towards degree completion
  • Work closely with the PNW Director of Graduate Studies and the Graduate School at Purdue West Lafayette
  • Work closely with the College Assurance of Learning Committee Chair and Director for Assessment and Accreditation to assure appropriate assessment of graduate programs
  • Manage entire enrollment management cycle for all graduate programs from application to enrollment
  • Provide academic advising, for all graduate students
  • Maintain databases on our current students and alumni
  • Plan and organize orientation sessions in fall and spring for new students
  • Collect and aggregate admission data for AACSB and other entities (2-3 per year)

Education of Graduate Programs Administrator

  • Requires a Master’s degree from an accredited university
  • Preference in higher education space within a similar role

Experience of Graduate Programs Administrator

  • Minimum of four years’ experience working in recruitment, advising, or alumni relations, familiarity with Masters in Business programs
  • Previous work in higher education setting preferred

  • Work independently with limited supervision
