Job Summary

Work as a Writing Coach, with specific duties coordinating a Community Writing Center (CWC) program area.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Writing Coaching
Workshop Facilitation at both CWC and community locations
Office Operations
Assistance with special events & tabling
Coordinating and developing community programs
Volunteer recruitment and communication with community partners

Preferred Qualifications

Successful completion of ENGL 1010

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong customer service orientation and communication skills; knowledge of general office procedures; knowledge of Internet and computers; ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion while maintaining confidentiality; ability to handle conflict resolution with calm and deliberation; ability to set priorities and to organize tasks; maintain professional, positive attitude and neat appearance; ability to grow, adapt, take direction and work independently when necessary; interpersonal, problem solving, and decision making skills; reliable and punctual.
Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities.
