Job Summary

 

Post-doctoral Position in Cancer Health Equity and Disparities Research:

 

The RURaL [R eaching the U nderserved, R ural, a nd L ow-Income] Lab for Dissemination and Implementation Research in Cancer Disparities in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Purdue University is seeking qualified candidates to fill an opening for postdoctoral research associate in the areas of cancer health equity and disparities research to support community engagement reseach efforts on funded projects focused on cancer health equity and disparities.  Position responsibilities will include: research development and implementation, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and lab management. 

 

The ideal candidate would have a PhD degree (or expected PhD) with experience in public health; health services research; epidemiology; and/or experience in health equity, health disparities, and community engagement research. Required experience includes research development and implementation, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, management and analysis of longitudinal data sets and hospital data/claims data, and survey data. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and collaboration skills. Must have excellent analytical skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Experience in research methodology and data analysis required. Strong organization, writing, and interpersonal skills. Must be detail oriented and organized.  

 

The candidate would join a vibrant research team in a lab that has affiliations and access to global experts from the Center for Health Equity and Innovations on Purdue’s campus including the Purdue Center for Cancer Research, Purdue’s Health Equity Initiatives, Purdue’s Office of Engagement, and Purdue Institute for Drug Discovery.

 

The position offers a competitive salary commensurate upon experience plus benefits and is contingent upon meeting progress milestones. The successful applicant will be assessed for productivity on a bi-annual basis with the option of yearly renewal if agreed upon by both parties.
