The University of Chicago's Department of Radiology is searching for tenured or tenure-track faculty members at any rank.  We seek applicants pursuing research on radiochemistry, and related areas. 
Appointees will carry out research in radiopharmaceutical sciences and radiochemistry.  Areas of interests include (but are not limited to) the development of novel radiotracers and probes for imaging and therapeutic applications including radioactive theranostics, innovative radiochemical synthesis methods and technologies, and integration of radiochemistry with nanotechology and nanomedicine.  The department is also interested in the basic and clinical applications of radiotracer methodology to the study of diseases/disorders, including cancer, diabetes, and diseases of the heart and brain, as well as its application to the repair of tissue/organ injuries. Appointees are expected to teach at the graduate level with the possibility of teaching at the undergraduate level.
The University of Chicago is a vibrant center of scientific discovery and innovation, and opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration are abundant, both within and outside the Biological Sciences Division.  The Division, other academic units of the University, and the University of Chicago Medical Center, are all contained within one compact campus in Chicago's Hyde Park.  Appointees will have access to state-of-the-art core facilities and to outstanding colleagues and graduate students affiliated with numerous degree-granting programs within and outside the biological sciences.  Competitive research space and start-up funding will be available, as will the potential for interactions with our affiliates, Argonne National Laboratory and the Marine Biological Laboratory.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a doctoral degree or equivalent, and 2) have completed postdoctoral training.
