Description of Position

We are seeking a clinical supervisor to provide clinical leadership for our Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team. PACT’s delivery model utilizes a multidisciplinary team to provide local, comprehensive, and individualized treatment to adults with chronic mental illness. As clinical supervisor you will collaborate with the PACT Director and team leader to provide supervision and education regarding psychotherapeutic techniques and treatment strategies, ensure goals are in accordance with the PACT treatment model, and supervise PACT team members in developing and implementing individual treatment plans. You report to the program director, and work as part of a team that includes a psychiatric prescriber, nurses, vocational specialists, social workers, housing specialists, and addiction and recovery specialists.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct the day-to-day clinical operations of the PACT team in conjunction with the team leader including scheduling staff work hours to provide appropriate coverage and equal distribution of team responsibilities
  • Empower the team by modeling strong leadership, and conveying and upholding the philosophy and principles of PACT
  • Function as a primary case manager to clients providing individual therapy, and participating as part of clients’ treatment teams
  • Provide on-call crisis interventions
  • Supervise client records management ensuring documentation is timely, accurate, and meets quality standards
  • Make complex clinical treatment and rehabilitation decisions, and provide recommendations based upon client needs
  • Co-facilitation of clinical meetings
  • Implement staff development activities including orientation of new staff, in-service training, individual supervision, and cross-training
  • Encourage and motivate clients in meeting treatment goals, provide education about mental illness and resources, and connect clients/families/spouses with self-help and support resources
  • Transport and/or accompany clients to appointments connecting them to community services

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychiatric rehabilitation, or counseling
  • LICSW, LCSW, LMHC or license eligible
  • Minimum 2 years of behavioral and/or mental health experience
  • Clinical and organizational skills
  • Supervisory and program management experience
  • Understanding of characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Knowledgeable of the PACT delivery model
  • Community based program skills

All hires must complete Massachusetts Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI) and Sexual Offender Registry Information (SORI) checks, and a multi-state background check.
