Director of Community Giving

 

ELIGIBILITY: True North Classical Academies Foundation is a Miami-based organization. At this time, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in the United States without the need for company sponsorship now or in the future.

JOB HIGHLIGHT: Bbuild meaningful long-term relationships with new and existing True North families and take a strategic approach to grow their giving to our schools and Foundation. You’ll be responsible for actively developing the Community Investment Fund (CIF), the Foundation’s annual giving program supported by Titan families.


 

JOB SUMMARY: You will develop and produce a dynamic True North family experience that engages donors and drives fundraising. You’ll fully manage the execution of the Foundation’s donor acquisition and retention programs. You’ll report to the President of True North Classical Academy.


YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…


Community Investment Fund Donor Experience

  • Contributing to the collective team and organization’s revenue goals through the management and cultivation of gifts to the CIF

  • Identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donor relationships, with the goal of raising a minimum of $500,000 annually into the CIF once fully onboarded

  • Developing a qualified portfolio of current and prospective Titan families capable of donating a minimum of $1,500/year/student

  • Onboarding of new families to the CIF at the time of enrollment into a True North Classical Academy

  • Spearheading donor cultivation and stewardship events throughout the year with the objective of enrolling Titan families into the Leadership Giving Society

  • Representing the Foundation at donor cultivation events

  • Supporting the fundraising and execution of the Foundation’s major fundraising events in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Community Experience and Events and volunteers: Dash of the Titans 5K, Give Miami Day, Annual Gala, and Giving Society Events


Donor Communications

  • Leading direct outreach to donors and prospects via phone calls, emails, and handwritten letters

  • Developing quarterly digital communications to donors

  • Consistently delivering timely, thoughtful, creative, and exceptional donor experience through digital channels

  • Creating and executing a thank you call strategy post campaigns, utilizing Foundation and school leadership

  • Drafting and mailing thank you letters to donors and partners


Organizational Collaborations

  • Working with school leads and True North’s Parent Service Organization (PSO) to create gratitude opportunities across campuses

  • Engaging in continued learning around True North’s culture, academics, and classical education-related topics in general


YOU MUST HAVE…

  • 5+ years of successful fundraising experience is preferred; member management experience welcomed

  • Experience in community engagement, member services, and/or donor relations experience

  • Proven achievement in turning innovative ideas into exceptional substantive experiences for stakeholders

  • A proven track record of converting stakeholders into donors

  • Proficiency using a CRM and an appreciation for good record-keeping

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to multitask

  • Outstanding communication skills, presence, and positive attitude

  • A problem-solving spirit, self-motivated and self-directed

  • Highly refined emotional intelligence and the ability to relate to, communicate, and build consensus across a wide range of audiences

  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines


IT’S A BONUS IF YOU HAVE…

  • Volunteer management experience

  • Copywriting and communications experience

  • Experience using Asana, Virtuous, and Google Office applications
