Position Details

 

Position Duties and Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs duties as lead project professional to coordinate direct professional services to students or clients; develops materials and
procedures; maintains contacts with Professionals in other areas. Performs normal supervisory functions.

PRIMARY DUTIES PERFORMED:

Coordinates direct professional services to students and clients relating to a specific project area, i.e. counseling training, job development, vocational assessment, or accounting.

Develops materials and procedures to ensure effectiveness of project personnel.

Serves on committees.

Maintains contact with professionals in other areas to facilitate referrals and problem resolution.

Performs normal supervisory functions: trains, instructs, assigns work to Project personnel; recommends transfers, promotions, wage increases, terminations; arranges for additional help or overtime; explains and enforces College policies, safety rules and regulations. Evaluates performance.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates direct professional services to students and clients relating to a specific project area: counseling, training, job development, vocational assessment, accounting, or auditing.

Develops material and procedures to ensure effectiveness of program/project personnel.

Attends meetings, workshops and special classes and serves on various departmental committees.

Attends client meetings to collaborate on program/project requirements and timelines.

Develops program/project materials and procedures that meet client specifications and requirements and ensure effective communications with program/project participants.

Maintains database records, case notes and file folders for program/project candidates and participants.

Communicate with program/project participants in the college learning management system.

Maintains contacts with internal departments and external agencies and organizations to provide supportive services to program/project participants through governmental agencies and community-based organizations.

Coordinates placement activities for program/project graduates with employer partners, community-based organizations and governmental agencies.

Performs normal supervisory functions: trains, instructs, assigns work to project staff; recommends transfers, promotions wage increases, terminations; arranges for help or overtime; explains and enforces college policies, safety rules and regulations. Evaluates performance.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and over three (3) years of relevant full-time

Equivalent = ninety credit hours and an additional two years of full-time relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience coordinating direct professional services to student and clients relating to a specific project area: counseling, training, job development, vocational assessment, accounting, or auditing. Experience working in an educational setting.
