POSITION OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE

At The Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber Foundation (The Foundation), we embrace innovation, systems change, and catalytic approaches to our region’s workforce demands.

The Foundation is seeking an organized and project-focused individual who is passionate about our FMWF community and interested in fostering connections. This position is focused on enriching and enhancing workforce solutions through credential/certificate programs. The Grant Project Manager will implement the Foundation’s Good Jobs Challenge (GJC) grant project, which was awarded by the United States Economic Development Administration in August of 2022. The GJC project goal is to provide education and training opportunities toward quality, regional jobs in specific industries along with access to wraparound services for 900+ individuals from underserved populations.

The Grant Project Manager will also manage and maintain federal reporting protocols including participant profiles, education/training program profiles, and after-training follow-up. This role is responsible for cultivating and recruiting regional business partnerships to advance career opportunities for participants in the grant project. Collaboration with the Chamber Foundation team is critical for success in generating solutions to meet our region’s workforce needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Champion FMWF Chamber Foundation’s digital platform and collaborate with contracted programmers to meet GJC deliverables and project needs
  • Curate and maintain partner and contractor relationships across education, industry, non-profit, and government sectors
  • Actively participate in required trainings, meetings, and presentations
  • Collaborate with supporting partners and backbone organizations to recruit eligible participants for GJC grant project
  • Organize and deliver public presentations
  • Evaluate and implement confidentiality processes for data collection and retention
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local confidentiality requirements
  • Prioritize consistent and continual growth opportunities
  • Support FMWF Chamber Foundation’s mission and values
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven success with project management OR transferable skills to successfully manage long-term projects
  • Experience with managing federal/state grants
  • Comfort with public presentations and speaking
  • Organization to manage multiple aspects of project(s) to meet deadlines
  • Passion for the FMWF community and our growing population diversity
  • Comfort with contemporary business software such as Microsoft Office, Canva, Google products, etc.
  • Experience in using database software
  • Valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Project Management Professional certification and/or Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Sociology, Psychology, or related field
  • Candidates with project management and/or federal/state grant administration will be given priority
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with others from diverse backgrounds
  • Communicate effectively with others across different channels/media
  • Can handle and be trusted with confidential information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
