The Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS) is a large complex research, teaching, and clinical department that is part of the UC Davis School of Medicine and UC Davis Health. The mission of the Department is to improve the health of the population using approaches based in epidemiology, biostatistics, economics, and behavioral science through research, educational programs, clinical programs, public service, and policy development. THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities This position is in the Division of Biostatistics within the Department of Public Health Sciences and supports basic and clinical research and investigators throughout the School of Medicine. Incumbent will act as a biostatistician on a variety of projects in the School of Medicine. Incumbent will participate in projects within the Division of Biostatistics to include using state of the art mathematical approaches to data analysis, developing related software, participating in discussions with researchers, participating in publication of papers in scientific journals, attending conferences and making presentations, conducting seminars, keeping current with related literature, helping to guide and educate students, postdoctoral scholars, residents, and fellows, and helping to write proposals for future funding. This position reports directly to Dr. Sandra Taylor. This position is a hybrid work opportunity.
