SEL has an exciting opportunity to welcome a new employee-owner to our Product Compliance team in Pullman, WA. As a Compliance Engineer, you will oversee projects, provide technical support to customers, and work in a state-of-the-art test facility. This vital role helps ensure products align with national and international regulatory standards. As a Compliance Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

• Develop and maintain an understanding of the standards, requirements and solutions for the assigned compliance area (e.g., EMC, Safety, Product Ecology).
• Develop compliance tests, procedures and reports for the assigned compliance area and ensure test documentation is complete and filed in accordance with ISO 17025 (A2LA) and quality system requirements.
• Provide basic technical assistance to SEL product groups.
• Mentor Technicians in Product Compliance and R&D

This job might be for you if:

• You have aB.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
• You have knowledge of product compliance engineering practices and philosophies at an electronics development and manufacturing company
• You have experience with common test equipment and testing practices
• You're a self-starter with strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• We would prefer if you have knowledge of one of more of the following compliance areas: EMC (FCC, IC, IEC, CISPR, CE), Safety standards (UL, CSA, IEC, CE), or Radio

Pay Range Data

Associate Compliance Engineer $58,100 - $90,900. Compliance Engineer $66,500 - $104,000. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
