Mississippi University for Women invites applications for Dean of the College of Business and Professional Studies. The dean reports directly to the Chief Academic Officer (CAO). The dean, in consultation with the CAO, department chairs, and faculty, is responsible for the College of Business and Professional Studies unit management, faculty affairs, and instructional oversight. The Dean of Business and Professional Studies is responsible for the following departments: Department of Business, Culinary Arts Institute, and Department of Legal Studies. Earned doctorate; university administrative experience as a department chair or above; strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; experience developing educational partnerships with community colleges; strong belief in working with a collaborative spirit to achieve successful outcomes for faculty, staff, students, and the region
Experience at the rank of professor; university administrative experience as a dean or above; administrative experience working with multiple units within the college; experience working with SACSCOC (or other regional accrediting bodies) and the entities accrediting programs within the College; experience supporting working and adult learners; experience with online delivery formats
