About the Department
The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a Lecturer position in Mathematics. Mathematics is the science and study of numbers, shapes and spaces and how they apply to the universe in which we live. Mathematics examines operations, interrelations, combinations, generalizations, abstractions, configurations, structure, measurement and transformations.
Lecturer positions are academic year (August-May) non-tenure track appointments, which may be renewed up to six (6) years.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Providing 36 semester hours of instruction per academic year
Providing student support and advising
Maintaining at least 10 office hours per week
Working effectively and professionally with colleagues
A minimum of a Master's degree required in the teaching discipline or a minimum of a Master's degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment) is required.
Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Ability to teach a variety of mathematics courses at the college level.
* Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods.
* Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning.
* Effective oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology. Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations, etc

Position may require non-standard hours (including day, evening, online, hybrid, weekend and/or other campus locations).
Salary: Academic year (August-May) salary commensurate with qualifications and experience ($46,350 - $56,500).
