A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Dr. Joachim Frank Lab, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics, Columbia University Medical Center.  We conduct NIH-supported research on the mechanism of protein synthesis in eukaryotes and other dynamic processes in the cell by time-resolved cryo-EM.  Several professionally supported state-of-the-art electron microscopes are available as part of Columbia's cryo-EM Core.

Minimum qualifications: 

Ph.D. with experience in cryo-EM applied to biology.

Preferred qualifications: 

Ph.D. in physics or biophysics.  Strong computational skills. Successful experience with single-particle cryo-EM structure determination.  Proficiency in sample preparation and data processing techniques.
