The Department of Astrophysical Sciences, Princeton University, anticipates offering a number of postdoctoral or more senior research positions in theory, observation and instrumentation, including (but not limited to): the Lyman Spitzer, Jr. Postdoctoral Fellowship; the Henry Norris Russell Postdoctoral Fellowship; the Joint Carnegie Observatories and Princeton University Postdoctoral Fellowship; and positions in research related to: astrophysical plasma theory and simulation, cosmology, machine learning, plasma astrophysics, statistical astronomy, and theoretical astrophysics. Applicants may work with the Department's distinguished faculty and research staff. For a full list of department members and activities, see https://web.astro.princeton.edu/. There are also strong research groups with interests in astrophysics at the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab and in the Physics, Geosciences, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Departments, and at the nearby Institute for Advanced Study. Appointments are for one year, renewable annually based on satisfactory performance and continued funding, with the expectation of up to three years.
