Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Provides research and outreach support to the RFCDR Labs.
- Manages research operations for the RFCDR Labs, and conducts research with human participants.
- Serves as project manager for studies that are conducted in the RFCDR Labs by RFCDR-affiliated faculty, graduate students, and postdocs.
- Conducts research with human participants in the RFCDR Labs.
- Works with lab staff, postdocs, and graduate students to design, optimize, and troubleshoot study materials.
- Assists in hiring, training, scheduling, and managing research assistants for the RFCDR Labs, and serves as time approver for the research assistants in Workday.
- Manages expenses using UChicago ePayment and GEMS online systems.
- Enters and codes study data as needed.
- Assists in recruitment and outreach needs for the RFCDR labs as needed.
- Assists in maintaining operational records for the RFCDR Labs, and conducts and presents data analysis as needed from these records.
- Assists the RFCDR Administrative Office on projects and events as needed.
- Provides research and teaching related support to Professor Wu.
- Organizes data collection efforts for Professor Wu, as well as his graduate student and postdoctoral research teams, in the RFCDR Labs and other research locations.
- Works with Professor Wu and his postdocs and graduate students to design, optimize, and troubleshoot study materials, and project manage the studies conducted by their lab members.
- Manages and maintains datasets for studies conducted by the Wu Lab, and conducts and presents data analysis as needed.
- Organizes, schedules, and attends lab meetings and related events for the Wu Lab.
- Assists in research and preparation of materials related to course development for Professor Wu.
- Hires, trains, schedules, and manages research assistants for Professor Wu, and serves as time approver for the research assistants in Workday.
- Manages expenses using UChicago ePayment and GEMS online systems.
- Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
- Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
- Performs other related work as needed.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in the area of psychology, organizational behavior, or marketing.
Experience:
- At least two years of experience in conducting computer, web-based, and interpersonal interaction-based experiments.
Technical Skills or Knowledge:
- Aptitude in statistical analysis and coding in R, STATA, or another platform.
Preferred Competencies
- Familiarity with behavioral science research methods.
- Outstanding verbal, written, presentation and organizational skills.
- Skilled in handling multiple detailed tasks/projects simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines with frequent interruptions.
- Work independently with little supervision, possess a self-motivated disposition, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend effective changes, all while achieving key objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and diplomatically with colleagues, as well as with students, faculty and corporate contacts across communication methods i.e., in person, on zoom, email, or phone.
- Professional demeanor, including tact, discretion, and a service-focused orientation.
