Description

Full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor in Analytical Chemistry.

Applicants should expect to be highly research active and will have access to state of the art facilities while working to develop an internationally-recognized, externally-funded research program.  Applicants should also possess an aptitude for excelling as a teacher in both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Qualifications

Applicants should have established expertise in the general area of Analytical Chemistry, possess a doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent degree) in Chemistry by the time of appointment and be able to begin in August of 2024.  Completion of postdoctoral studies in a Analytical Chemistry or closely related discipline is preferred.

Submitted materials should include: (a) a cover letter, (b) curriculum vitae, (c) a description of research plans (6-8 pages), (d) a statement of teaching interests and philosophy (1-2 pages), and (e) a copy of a transcript showing the highest degree conferred (if the Ph.D. is in progress, a copy of a transcript listing completed Ph.D. hours should be submitted) (f) contact information for three individuals who will provide letters of recommendation. Candidates invited for an interview will need to provide official transcripts. Complete applications must be submitted by 10/20/2023.
