| Position Overview | This position will work with Dr. Mirkouei and other researchers in the Renewable and Sustainable Manufacturing Laboratory (RSML). RSML is looking for a postdoctoral researcher. The successful applicant will have knowledge about different processes, especially multiphase flow with chemical reactions. Applications include biochemical processes for ore deposits treatment and wastes recycling, thermochemical reactors, and renewable materials production processes (e.g., pyrolysis, bioleaching, ultrasound cavitation, and additive manufacturing processes). Proficiency with computational fluid dynamics and thermal analysis, CAD modeling, and visualization software is highly desirable. Experience with optimization, verification, validation, and uncertainty quantification is also sought. Computational models will be developed to describe physical processes involving interdisciplinary skills and concepts, including chemistry, manufacturing, materials science, biological science, and chemical engineering. |
