Position Information
Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit | The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of five health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. Position Summary | The Bowers Lab is seeking a postdoc for the design and engineering of new peptide post-translational modification or aminoacylating enzymes and high-throughput, mRNA display-based screens and biophysical characterization. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | - PhD in pharmaceutical science, biochemistry, chemistry or related field. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | - Documented research productivity and achievement, i.e. peer-reviewed publications, is required. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | - Experience in protein engineering and/or enzyme kinetics desired. |
Special Physical/Mental Requirements | Must comply with all environmental health and safety rules including proper use of all personal protective equipment (PPE). |
