PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Include, but are not limited to, the following: 

This is a temporary, part-time position. This position exists to teach Anatomy and Physiology 2, and Medical Terminology.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education Requirement:
* Master's degree with a major in Biology or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in Biology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference is given to those who have the following:

  • Experience using instructional technology.

  • Demonstrated experience with on-line Instructional Management systems (e.g. D2L).

  • Demonstrated commitment to the academic needs of non-traditional students, including non-native speakers of English, students with disabilities, and first-generation college students.

  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in the classroom.

  • Experience or a strong interest in contemporary teaching and learning techniques, including active and student-centered learning.

  • Strong communication skills.

GENERAL INFORMATION: 
Anoka-Ramsey Community College, with campuses in both Cambridge and Coon Rapids, Minnesota, has been a leading provider of higher education and training in East Central Minnesota since 1978 and the north suburban area of Minneapolis/St. Paul since 1965. Anoka-Ramsey aligned with Anoka Technical College, Anoka, Minnesota, in 2011. Annually, the two colleges (three campuses) serve more than 16,000 learners of all ages as they pursue associate degrees that transfer as the first two years of a bachelor's degree, or technical and certificate programs that lead immediately to rewarding careers. Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Anoka Technical College are members of the Minnesota State System.

Under the collective bargaining agreement with the Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF), new instructors receive a salary placement based on education and related experience after a job offer is accepted. The final decision for determination of salary placement is made by the Minnesota State System Office based on education and relevant experience.
